Sometime in August I conceived of a series of drawings, generally large in scale, that mixed lips and leaves, but I never got around to actually drawing them. I had been inspired by some of the leaves falling from my houseplants. In November I finally got around to sketching one such image, though it is less than satisfactory in many regards. The tree at the top was necssitated by the inopportune application of ink above the lips. To provide a little balance I decided to add the roughly-suggested mountains.
